IVE are back. After roughly eight months away from the release calendar, the Starship Entertainment sextet will return with a new EP, Looks Can Kill. A two-step release: title track first
IVE announced Looks Can Kill on September 27 with a striking teaser and have rolled out content almost daily since: a promotion scheduler (Sep 29), new teasers (Sep 30), individual photos of An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo (Oct 2), the track list (Oct 4) and a new pre-release clip (Oct 6).
The title track drops first on October 19, giving the song a full week to build momentum before the complete EP lands on October 26. It is the group's first comeback since REVIVE+ and its title track "BLACKHOLE" in February 2026.

Spotify DIVE ACADEMY: see the new song live first
Spotify is hosting a three-day fan experience called DIVE ACADEMY at Ark Gangnam in Seoul from October 17 to 19. The first two days are an immersive exhibition built around IVE's new "Girl Heroes" image, with interactive zones and missions that let fans step into the world of the EP.
On October 19 — the same day the title track is released — all six members will play a one-night-only concert there, including the first-ever live performance of the new title song and another track from the EP, plus a talk segment about the making of the album. For fans outside Korea, Spotify says performance videos and a video podcast of the talk will be released exclusively on its platform. Attendance details are being announced through Spotify Korea's Instagram.

Jang Wonyoung's Dior debut adds to the hype
The comeback lands during a high-profile month for the group. On September 30 Jang Wonyoung attended her first Dior show just days after being named a brand ambassador, and photos of her greeting BLACKPINK's Jisoo, a longtime Dior face, spread quickly online. Her softer look — white lace top, black skirt, long straight hair — was a talking point among fans heading into the new era.

On tour at the same time: SHOW WHAT I AM
IVE are releasing new music in the middle of their second world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, which began in Seoul in late 2025 and has since visited Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and eight North American cities from Toronto to Vancouver. That means new songs from Looks Can Kill could well join the setlist at upcoming shows.

How DIVE are reacting
Fan accounts have been dissecting every teaser for clues about the concept, and the mix of a sharp, slightly dangerous title with the "Girl Heroes" theme has fans predicting a bold performance-driven track. The Spotify event has also triggered a rush of questions about how to attend — so if you are in Seoul that week, keep an eye on Spotify Korea's channels.
